Schweigen-Rechtenbach, scenic village in an idyllic landscape

Deutsches Weintor
Deutsches Weintor is one of the landmarks of the Palatinate region and marks the begin of the 85 km long Deutschen Weinstraße (German Wine Route). A touristic train, the Grenzlandbahn, brings you from the Weintor to romantic Wissembourg/France several times a day.

Sonnenberg
Via Weinlehrpfad Schweigen-Rechtenbach (Nature trail about wines) you reach high-lying Sonnenberg with a terrific sight towards Deutsches Weintor, Upper Rhine Valley and Black Forest. From May until October at weekends, the local wineries here cater for promenaders and hikers.
